Christmas Rose

Lovely to see this wee plant flowering against all odds at this time of year, given the very cold weather and frost-hardened ground. This was a lying on the pavement to get the right angle shot, so have successfully given all the nosy neighbours something else to talk about. Anyway, more practice with the macro lens achieved.

A really spectacular red sky this evening when I came back from food - and drink, obviously - trip to the local 'try something different'. Good weekend - lie-in this morning and lots of chores ticked-off on the to-do list.
