Persian Rug

Many years ago when we lived in Japan, we were fortunate to be able to travel to several places in southeast Asia. We developed an appreciation for hand knotted carpets and slowly added to our collection. I don't have a big attachment to "things", but our carpets are objects of beauty and function that give me pleasure each day. This is an Iranian prayer rug that we use as a wall hanging, so it isn't exactly a carpet in our home. It was in the right spot to become my emergency blip for the day, after working late and not having taken a photo today.
