Spikey Blue

Gill and I had a trip out to Canons Ashby this afternoon - which turned out to be a better trip than we were expecting on account of the rain staying away until we were on the way home. None of the shots of the house have any great merit but I quite like this one taken in the walled garden.

As ever - I should have made a note of the plant name ... possibly a Globe Thistle.

The house itself has a checkered and fascinating history and the gardens are well worth a look around.
