Rosie's birthday, so we got up quite early and sang Happy Birthday with the candles alit on the cake (chocolate brownie with raspberries and flaked almonds). We caught the train to Brighton for the day, it was really busy as it was Pride, so there were lots of colourful characters about. The forecast was much better than predicted by the BBC, only a tiny bit of rain, so we managed a paddle and a sit on the beach. Wished I had taken a bikini as the water was quite warm. We wandered around the shops in the Lanes and sat by the Pavilion, and then another walk along the seafront before it was time to return home.
