A Day in Chichester

Went down to the Chichester Festival Theatre to see the matinee of "Amadeus". Rupert Everett was a revelation as Mozart's nemesis Salieri - a really captivating performance. Chichester is really pretty and the theatre has a very relaxed ambience in its parkland setting. It was a lovely summer's day and along with many other audience members we went out and sat on the grass during the interval. We looked into the cathedral after the play where we heard a visiting choir sing the Evensong. This pic is of the Lady Chapel - lovely, full of light. A nice dinner at Bill's Restaurant in the Buttermarket to round off the day before the drive back to London.
