Invisible Woman

Invisible Woman is a superheroine who first appeared in Marvel Comics in the 1960s. Her superpowers take the form of light-bending force fields that allow her to protect herself by becoming invisible. She can also use them as a destructive force to defend herself and others.

In early adventures with the superhero team the Fantastic Four, her invisibility power frequently led to her being strategically deployed by the others as a damsel in distress. But later, once she developed the ability to project powerful energy fields, the once passive Invisible Woman matured into a formidable and commanding heroine.
