An Avid Lensman

Lavender...

with a hint of lemon?

Sunday 27th July

Cultivated lavender seems to be rare in the UK, so I understand. Rogue dandelions ragwort, too!

No=one corrected me that the yellow must be ragwort, not dandelions. I only realised that whilst seeing ragwort on the roadside whilst on the bus today (day of posting)

LARGE

Therefore, the dawn walk - rubbish, grey cloud laden and cold - up from Britford and up through Odstock and over its Down, to destination Clearbury Ring.

This is corner of a field, me straining over a fence, through a hedge and ankle deep in nettles, but this is nowhere near Clearbury (sorry Amanda, another time?) and about three-quarters the way into the hike and with the sun just starting to strain through.

Lens is Tamron SP 70-300mm VC with Sigma EX 1.4x teleconverter - effective focal length 560mm.

The last time I peered through a hedge with this lens combo.

Was out all day until after midnight yesterday - getting in very late and so am behind with Blip - WILL catch up - thanks for all the Favourites, comments and stars on yesterday's Cathedral sunrise. I do have places to go again today (3rd Aug) again, but will be back with you later in the evening.
