Inside Castle Walls
Day three of our mini holiday with Kate and Gavin, our friends from Essex.
We took them into the city centre today and around Cardiff Castle. Like yesterday's visit to the Doctor Who Experience, the castle is another great place to take our visitors that is on our doorstep. We were last there with Dawn's brother a year ago(ish).
I wanted to go around the Welsh Regiments museum which we didn't do last time as we run out of time. It is a fascinating military museum, with a walk through history from the formation of the regiments right through to modern day warfare in Afghanistan. Once again we avoided the worse of the rain that was threatened.
We had a wander over to Cardiff Museum in the afternoon, which has a whole new exhibition there at the moment called i-Spy Nature. If you are in the area I can highly recommend it, it is only there until April next year (I think). Some old favourites are back if you a long time visitor to the museum like me.
We finished off the day with an excellent meal in Ruby Tuesday's in the East Quarter of St David's.
I'm absolutely shattered tonight. We really could not have packed more into these three days if we tried!
