Memorial

This memorial, on a sandstone hill high above the small Cheshire town of Frodsham, is a memorial to the men of the Town who died in World War 1. I thought it was topical to blip that, 100 years to the day after the German invasion of France initiated the war.

I was fortunate to spend three hours walking amongst sandstone crags, through some delightful woodland, across a fine golf course, where polite golfers happily waved me along a footpath across the fairway, to the top of Helsby Hill, with wide views across the Mersey.

I wondered who Cliff Edges is and what he has done to make the sign necessary.
