Marching band

Today Girlguiding stockport woodbank division were invited to take part in the civic ceremony and parade at st Mary's church to mark ww1 and remember those that fought and the fallen

I must admit I was worried we'd be out numbered as usual but to my surprise we had the best turnout with 28 made up from leaders, brownies, guides and senior section

The atc had 18 and there was 1 Scout and 1 explorer

The march was lovely and led by this band who I snapped before their warm up followed by veterans and their standards then soldiers, the cadets and us

We walked from the armoury to the town hall where the mayoral party joined us and then we walked to the church

The service was very moving and a great tribute which was well attended
