Whitelee Windfarm

We were in Kilmarnock today and decided to stop off at Whitelee on the way back home.

There are over 200 wind turbines on the site.

I know these behemoths really polarise opinions but they are an immense spectacle when viewed up close.

The sense of scale, power, & noise that they emit on a windy day are really something special and quite intimidating as they spin around.
