Rain and a bit of nostalgia.
Set off in beautiful sunshine today, but by the time we reached Gargrave it was dull, with a cool breeze.
However 20 of us turned up for the 7 mile walk from Gargrave to Bell Busk, New Field Bridge, and back,
Mostly dry, although the rain did start just before we reached the end of the walk.
No sun though, and so not good for photos of the lovely views.
As usual there was lots of chatting, and laughter.
A pot of tea and cakes in the café before we set off back home was most welcome.
As you can see from the collage, the Dalesman Tearoom is a delightful trip back into the past, full of nostalgic reminders of a bygone era.
A huge tea pot for 7 of us, and this man singing in the background
listen here!
Nice end to a great day out.
Once we got to Skipton, we realised that we must have been one of the few places that had rain today, as it was beautiful sunshine all the way home!
Gargrave is on The Pennine Way, and the sign post shows the distance to the beginning and end of the walk.
Many thanks for all your hearts and stars for my Sunset yesterday. So glad you liked it.
