Cox Green Road

Went for a walk through Egerton and across Cox Green Road.  It's been a long time since we went that way! What was a road, closed to traffic before 1985, when we first moved to the area is now a fairly narrow path.  It crosses an old disused quarry which was sold a couple of years ago. I wonder what will happen to it.  From the road it can hardly be seen as it's so overgrown.  The road goes over an archway that leads into the quarry.

The path is bordered by wild plants such as Willow Herb, some Himalayan Balsam, known locally as policeman's helmet etc.
