Night Garden

A friend had some free tickets to the In The Night Garden Live show at the Trafford Centre this morning but decided not to go and emailed me about it at 7.30am. Only parents are up emailing one another at 7.30am on a Sunday! We snapped them up.

And I had a hangover to boot. Children's entertainment with a hangover is intense!

But it was so worth it. Audrey's little face! Her whole body was shaking with excitement when we arrived and she sat perfectly still for an hour watching it!!! Who knew that was possible!?! She was tired at the end though and got quite emotional as we left wanting to see Upsy Daisy again!

Had a chilled afternoon and took myself off for an hour to Didsbury, windows wound down, music on. Picked Jo up and we drove up to the Art of Tea for tea and cake spontaneously. Felt great. Just what I needed. Jo remarked that it was the first time we'd chatted without a certain little person interrupting in a long time!

Home in time to sing Twinkle Twinkle and put a very tired happy girl to bed.
