Friends

Friends. Today my wonderful friend did something very special. She saved the life of a man collapsed in the street, taking charge and doing CPR on him until the emergency services arrived.

She doesn't know how special she is. Afterwards, the shock of the situation kicked in and understandably she went to pieces and was filled with self doubt and what ifs. I was able to be with her and her daughter and help them with cooking tea and getting ready for bed.
She had got us both one of these little stretchy people and gave me mine tonight. I stuck them to my mug of tea and thought that they are a good symbol of friends helping each other.
