The BubbleMan

A few years back, Peggy and I would go for a Sunday afternoon bike ride across Balboa Island, over to Balboa Peninsula on the ferry and on up the boardwalk towards Newport Pier or even Huntington Pier if we had any remaining energy. One would think that these were fitness rides for a healthy outing. Not exactly. Our moto was "burgers and beer at the end of the pier".
Well, everyone needs goals, don't they?
Anyway, we strayed from our routine the past few years and wanted to start it back up. Being that this the last Sunday of the month, we jumped on the bikes and rode.
At the base of the Newport Pier (todays destination) we found a spray paint artist and Bill The BubbleMan. Before we were off our bikes we heard him pitching "Right here, the best $5.00 toy you'll ever own!!!" Well, we had to stop, watch and yes, buy one. Only time will tell if it holds up to the BubbleMan's claims but if I can master a few gynormous bubbles, our grand daughter and our golden retriever will be impressed. Bill the BubbleMan has been doing this for 15 years when he's not following rockbands around the country. Say...I've been thinking about a new retirement venture requiring very little startup capital.
