There was a time when businesses used to give out these to their customers instead of business cards. Hard to imagine that happening now...

I used to buy large men's brush cotton plaid shirts at Galvins and wear them over tights back when I was a student.
Their fishermen's rib jerseys were also a good buy for a girl on a budget ;-)

It seems that this look may be back in fashion as my daughter brought some posh versions of them back from the UK recently
