One Year On
I realised the other day (because of blip!) that we have now been Crossfitting for a full year. We signed up to the On-Ramp course on 3rd August last year and really haven't looked back since!
I still remember the days of heading to the box after work and being literally terrified of it because I really didn't know if I could do it. But I always did, I always went back and I always came back stronger.
We soon learnt that the 6.30am classes suited us better. Although we had to get up earlier we felt energised for the rest of the day. The elite group of nutters that decide to come at this time are appropriately known as the Zombie Crew and they welcomed us with opened (sleepy) arms!
We now have so many great friends thanks to Omnipotent CrossFit and are part of a fantastic community!
Looking forward to seeing what I'll be able to do in a months time never mind another year!
By the Numbers - how I have improved
Deadlift. Started 35kg, now 100kg
Back Squat. Started 45kg now 70kg
Front Squat. Started 32.5kg now 67.5kg
Clean. Started 20kg now 60kg
Snatch. Started 17.5kg now 35kg
Pull Up. Started - couldn't do one. Now 3 strict or 10+ kipping
Push Up. Started - couldn't do one properly. Now I can get 10 in a row (just!)
