An Edible Bus Stop...

One of my favourite gardens at the Dig The City Urban Garden Festival is the Edible Bus Stop. It's been created by some gardeners from the Beswick/Openshaw area of the city. These areas used to be at the heart of industrial Manchester but lost a lot of their mojo when the industry decamped to China and other areas of the Far East. At long last these areas are beginning to revive. This garden represents the determination of some of the local population to improve their area.
