I got up early and made pancakes for Rowan and her friends. Once they had eaten - it really was one of those moments when you lay a plate PILED high on the table, turn away for a moment and then turn back to find the plate empty - Nick and I sat together and ate ours with some blueberry jam. Delicious.

I worked away on my proposal at the kitchen table whilst family life carried on around me. Murron returned home after a great time with Catriona, Nick went for a cycle, Sam and Rowan chatted on the sofa with the occasional spat and the cats padded about doing their thing.
