HMS Duncan

After watching the final 2 games in the netball at the SSEC in Glasgow we walked back through a monsoon to car. Also parked up was HMS Duncan; rather a big destroyer. It was open to visitors that afternoon but we didn't have the time. In the background is the Glenlee, a sailing ship, well worth a visit.

Australia beat New Zealand in the final of the netball and Jamaica defeated England in the Bronze medal match. Anyone who thinks netball is for gentle ladies should think again. It was fast, physical (even though contact is forbidden) and very skilful. A great experience.
