Vineyard Wires
We could not have asked for a nicer late winter day. An early frost followed by clear skies and bright sunshine. There was a skip in my step as I walked the dogs along the upper Taylor River Tracks. The pruning of the vines on Meadowbank Station has been completed and the vines adjacent to the track are looking nice and tidy. I was once again amazed at the amount of wires that are to be seen in a vineyard. The low sun was shining on the sea of wires and from some angles they looked like thousands of metres of shining silver.
