Highest point

Today we did our first stage of our trek through the Sibilini mountains. We walked up from Campi to Castelugio on the Piano Grande. During the day we climbed over 1000 m in height (and descended 400 m). This is taken on the highest point (1654 m)
We only met a sheep shepard (and his flock of sheep) during our walk, what a difference to the Alps. We walked through fields full of pretty flowers and an amazing array of butterflies.
Tonight we sleep in an apartment next to the Medieval church of our hill top village.
