Albert Drive
This was taken on Albert Drive (I live off one of the side roads from this street so didn't have to venture far this morning for this for my second Close to Home). The reflection is the clock face of St Albert's, which is one of two striking clock towers in Pollokshields.
I read an article not that long ago that described Albert Drive as the most ethnically diverse streets in Scotland.
Albert Drive stretches from the more deprived East Pollokshields to the exclusive West End of Pollokshields.
Towards the East bit it's generally quite chaotic as people park in the middle of the road to nip into shops, there's litter everywhere (there's a shaming campaign that photographs the latest sofa that has been dumped on a street corner). But there's a buzz to it as people stop and catch up on the day.
The architecture is amazing, but in need of some love.
