...the railway station now especially lit and glowing inside and out like the jewel, the crown itself its restoration represents.

Lost otherwise is the economic meaning of the station and history to the reference the station was built in 1914. In this period in which we are observing and grieving the declaration a hundred years ago of the start of World War One, this singular beauty glowing now in our night time seems to me like a candle that has been lit in tribute to the community. This is the location of Soldiers Memorial Park alongside Hay Avenue that leads to the Railway Station.
