This is Pipe Major Iain Grant, starting off the Fun Day at the Rannoch and Drumbrae Hub. Such a beautiful day for everyone to be outside.

Playing lots of tunes and tunes for the children to dance to, he wandered around each of the paths to welcome people to the event, as well as an impromptu musical selection for the elderly folk in the day care cafe.

A very different day being on a stall rather than the usual Foodbank warehouse, questions answered, let local people know that their donated food is going locally, and meeting up with other community groups.

I was amazed when I looked thru yesterday's Blips how many candles there were, really special when everyone can connect like this, I too had my candle on, my Grandparents came thru WW1 and WW2, Mum still can remember clearly the feelings of the WW2 Clydebank Blitz and remembers a Canadian Soldier being billited with the family for a short period before he went over to Europe, last they had heard from him he was in Italy, sadly he didn't return and as not family, never knew what truly happened.
