Lights Out
100 years ago Britain declared war on Germany and so began the First World War, the Great War, and the War to end all Wars supposedly. But here we are 100 years later and still there is unrest in the world and it looks like we’ve failed to learn from history.
We can forget about global warming or a massive asteroid from space, the greatest danger to the human race is ourselves.
Today we remembered the fallen from the First World War, the horrors that they went through we can’t even begin to imagine.
Sir Edward Grey, British Foreign Secretary at the outbreak of war said this “the lamps are going out all over Europe; we shall not see them lit again in our life-time.”
