Watching

The littlest and myself went out for a cycle ride this afternoon, this is us taking a break on the way home.

He has a new bike and can now cycle faster than me, we cycled 8 miles which is no problem to him. Stopped for a promised drink and crisps at a local hotel.

The service in that place is terrible, not a hello or even a smile, tossed the drinks across the bar and returned to talking to the other staff. Looked at us like something the cat brought in. How difficult can it be to be welcoming and polite! I hate to think what the foreign tourists think of this behaviour. I think back to stopping at places abroad and remember the lovely way staff over there help you get what you would like. Come on Scotland surely we can do better than that.
