Pittenweem Harbour
Taking advantage of another lovely sunny day, we headed over to the Kingdom of Fife and the Pittenweem Arts Festival. This small coastal town has a large number of artists in residence, many inspired by the wonderful sea views on their doorstep. For a week they all open their doors to the public and you can view paintings, ceramics, jewellery etc at over 40 venues.
We managed to visit about 20 of them today, but were rather shocked at the prices of many of the original works. We ended up buying eight greetings cards and two mugs instead of the painting we'd been hoping to acquire:-) £2,500 was just a tad too much to spend on the one I liked best!
I took lots of photos of beautifully decorated floral bikes dotted around the town as part of a competition , but decided my blip would be this shot of the harbour, as Pittenweem is one of the few working fishing harbours left on this coast.
