52 years ago today...

The world awoke to the news that Marilyn Monroe had died of an overdoes of barbiturates.

All these years later and she is still loved by millions of people the world over and for over 30 years the Los Angeles based fan club Marilyn Remembered led by Greg Schreiner has held a memorial service in the very chapel where her funeral was held on August 8th 1962.
Fans travel from all over the world to attend the service but today for the first time, thanks to Marilyn collector Scott Fortner the service was streamed live via Youtube over the internet.

So this year instead of the fans going to the service, the service came to the fans.

A very moving tribute to a wonderful, sensitive, gorgeous talented human being - Marilyn you are always in our hearts.
