Squibs and Spinnakers

Today at Cowes Week there was little wind in the morning which caused some postponements for the larger classes. Hovever during the afternoon a stiff breeze produced some exciting races for the smaller yachts including the Squibs shown here with the fleet rapidly bearing down on them from the Needles.

Along this stretch of the Solent the yachts often race close up to the sea wall giving a spectacularly close view for the hundreds of spectators.
