He asked me what I did for a living and got very animated when I told him that I write web-based software. "You can make a lot of money, serious money, if you know how to build web sites," he says. "I've got a million pound idea, " he continues. "I just need a partner who can write the software." And then, damn it, his bus arrived. Did I just miss a chance to become very rich?

I may come to rue that lost opportunity the way today went. At least I had a pleasant cycle in this morning under blue skies and a rapid dash back late tonight in the gloom of a grey evening. It was a very long day.
