shotlandka's weebig world

It's not all colleges...

I thought this shot of the youth of Oxford fishing was a nice contrast with all the historical university stuff posted the last few days. It also serves as a warning to look out for this waterway, I hope you will be seeing a lot of it. I was out having a second viewing at a house today, getting to know the owner a bit better - in a small world thing she knows several of my soon to be colleagues. It went very well, and I walked back into town along this towpath, which is likely to be my commute in to work once I get a bike. I can't wait to exchange a daily commute of 3 hours in public transport to 3o minutes on a bike! Though to be fair on the way back it's up a steep hill, so might need to be a few more minutes! In a heavy rain shower you can shelter under this bridge, which is very handy. I have lots of shots of geese, boats and daftly dressed students too, there were lots of folk celebrating graduations and hen parties on boats! Back up to Glasgow tomorrow for a bit more Commonwealths, some volunteering and a lot of packing!
