Through the Arch to that View
I have gone forward to the Arch from yesterday to look at the sunken Lawn to the right and Stumpery lawn to the left. This looks onto the front border with a mixture of shrubs, trees, herbaceous plants and annual plants. The tree in the middle is a Rheus, which colours red in the Autumn and a Smoke bush to its right. There are Hostas, Escalonias, Bottlebrush plants, and Bobtail Grasses, Asters and Cosmos. Behind all that is that view of the Beauly Firth! The sun wasn't out so well today, but I still like to look at it. From here we can see Dolphins occasionally and a few years back we spotted a Minky Whale at October time!
