Canoeing on the Dordogne

We had taken pot luck with the weather, as today's forecast was marginally better than the rubbish prospects for the next few days. It didn't start off very promisingly with low grey cloud, but half an hour after we set off the skies cleared and it turned out to be a wonderful place to spend a hot, sunny day!

Daughter No.2 got nicknamed Moaning Myrtle for her chuntering but that wore off after about an hour. We spent a lazy hour on the shore with a picnic and then drifted off further downstream.

As messing about in boats goes, this was great!
