Queen Anne's Lace

There was a huge bunch of these along the road, & I couldn't resist stopping! Some of them were already opened wide-- some, like this one, were about half way there-- & a few were just starting to unfold. Many were so tall I didn't even have to crouch down to take them against the sky! There were quite a few grasshoppers leaping too--reminded me of when I was a kid & my brothers & I would catch them & put them in a jar so we could watch them for awhile! I learned to make sure I let them all go before I went in the house though, as I didn't want to find that one of my brothers had decided to let them all loose in my bed again! :))
