Elterwater

It's not often we get a wonderfully sunny day in the Lake District, but today it smiled on us.

We walked around Loughrigg Tarn and picnicked at Elterwater - beautiful. A circular walk is always satisfying, especially when it ends in a pint in a picturesque public house.

Cherry on the cake of a lovely day was dinner out to celebrate my Birthday in a few days, pretty perfect really.
