Itsukushima Shinto Shrine
We spent the Hiroshima Day in and near the Peace Park to remember what happened 69 years ago. We started at Genbaku Dome at 8:15 with a moment of silence together with hundreds of people. I was crying. Then we went to visit the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine at the Myiajima island to relax a bit and came back to Genbaku Dome to watch the lanterns floating on the rivers. The river was full of lights for the 140,000 dead Hiroshima citizens. May there be peace on Earth.
