native forest

Today we have been on a family adventure to visit our son who is in Palmerston North in the lower North Island. We[ me,wife, daughter and 2 grandsons!!] caught the train for the six hour trip from Hamilton. It was fantastic journey, chugging through the green pastures, past a mist-shrouded mountain, over a huge viaduct, but what stood out for me today was the wonderful trees in the native forest in the centre of the island. This shot taken near Raurimu with some very verdant forest.
