The Dynamic Duo.

What a great morning!
After our usual early dog walk and domestic stuff, we all headed out in the direction of Linlithgow. Whether to go to Blackness or South Queensferry or to go to Linlithgow Loch? As the day was so pleasant, we thought to try Cockleroy Hill. I was a bit apprehensive about the hip but with an energetic spaniel assisting with four-paw drive I thought I could make it. And so it was!
Just perfect conditions; warm sun and a gentle fresh breeze. We took it steady and made it all the way to the top. Such a feeling of achievement (and a bit of relief!) and that sense of quiet contentment that always comes to me in high places. Photos taken, buzzards, a kestrel and other birds watched and the two pups kept an eye on the sheep below. (I doubt if they would chase them but the leads were kept on and no chances taken.)
Home now for lunch and painkillers taken. Time later to head out to the garden and start the regular dead-heading which goes with the time of year.
