Wintery walk

This is a little stone built bridge which carries the road which leads to my house, but seen from underneath!
I took this shot today to dispel two myths in one go...namely that there are no trees in Orkney and that it nevers snows here! Now it is true that there are not many trees and that some parts of the islands have had precious little snow this winter, but I can assure you that since I moved up here three months ago I have seen more than my fair share of both! Trees, I love 'em, don't mind if I am surrounded by them every day, but snow is a different kettle of fish!

Okay...I have had enough snow now...you can stop trying to prove a point!!!
