Salen Show

The Salen Show might be small in size compared to some agricultural shows but it is very competitive. Add to that some very tasty produce and a healthy sprinkling of entertainment and it's no wonder it's so popular.
It was good to see some familiar faces from round the island being awarded rosettes for their livestock. Runners in the Hill Race ranged from locals who live only a mile or so from the showground to people on holiday from down in Englandshire.
Pictured is a sheep with very impressive (and well polished) horns that wasn't very keen on having it's picture taken.
Also it was nice to meet another Blipper today, there seems to be quite a few of us round here.
