Pea harvesters

Much excitement today at picking and then podding our first pea harvest! We had them raw with the homemade felafel from "the girl called jack" recipe book and a pile of salad from the garden. There is something very satisfying about feeding the family from the garden :-) A fitting way to end a day spent with a lovely family we met on holiday last year. We have spent the day chatting and catching up while the boys all played. A lovely day chatting cakes, plants and veggies with a lady with whom I spent many a glass of wine at the campsite discussing the same.
