garlic, books and a rainy afternoon.

Been a quiet day and raining steadily so spent a pleasant afternoon ensconced in books, photographs and online meanderings through photographic material.

I was quite taken with a Walker Evans image of Robert Frank's cooker I had not seen for sometime, taken when Evans visited the Frank's in Nova Scotia, particularly when Frank said he (Evans)just used to sit and watch the light in the kitchen and take photographs of the cooker and utensils and thats all he did for several days. I love that kind of attitude to light and objects.

how can anyone ever get tired of photography? ;-)
