memory lane

I took a trip down memory lane today.
It is my dad's birthday, he would have been 100 if he were still alive (he died in 2001).
Funny thing is that my brother was thinking about Dad today, too, and gave me a call.
Growing up our bedrooms were side by side, and outside our windows was a mourning dove's nest, so the coo of this bird quickly brings back childhood memories.
It was nice to talk about Dad with my brother today!
