Beach time

Today we took a boat trip out to the Farne islands. Saw a couple of puffins, lots of cormorants, millions of seagulls and a few seals too. We were able to land at one of the islands for an hour - it was nice to look about but it absolutely stank!

Toby loved being on the boat and was very interested to know, when the captain on the boat stated that 4000 seal pups had been born last season, how they managed to count every single one.

After the boat trip we went back to the cottage to collect the pups and went down to the beach. Toby was really funny on the beach, pottering about near some rocks and little pools. I went over to try and photograph him and asked him to look at the camera. He said he couldn't look at the camera because he had to look at 'his work'. He was smearing wet sand on the rocks. Very very important!

Eva total nightmare at bed time again. We need to change what we are doing but just don't know what to try differently.
