Today's blip is a puzzle! What came first - the chicken or the egg?

The plan today was to get Philip's car up and running. It had not been started for about 9 weeks so naturally the battery was flat! We opened the bonnet to jump start the engine and there, resting on the top of the radiator, was what looked like a chicken egg!

There is no room for a chicken to have nested there! There have been several suggestions of other animals leaving it there! The answer, I fear, is beyond our reach but I am open to suggestions as to how it got there - or the reasons it may have been put there...
