The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc

This blip surprisingly sums up our day. I say surprisingly because we came across by chance it on our way out tonight.

We began this morning(ish) by walking up to The National Art Museum of Catalonia at the top of the photo past all these amazing fountains and waterfalls, the good news in the baking heat, there are escalators - woohoo. After brunch in the museum we crossed to the Olympic Stadium area, the photo shows the Olympic communications tower to the top right. Finally we took the cable car up to the Montjuïc Castle to the top left with great views round the city.

So after a wee siesta, on our way down town we checked out a viewing area where people were gathered and only the noticed this water, lights and music show. Apparently it's on Friday's and Saturday's too so we expect a closer visit.

What we don't understand is how we missed everything in this photo last time we were here. We did visit the castle area, but then it was a mililtary base and closed to the public. So, it was really worth coming back!
