Under the boardwalk......

Daughter was planning on a run this afternoon and when we arrived at Long Jetty for me to play with the sunset there was a wedding party in the picnic shelters nearby enjoying refreshments. We assumed that they were going to be using the jetty for photos at sunset and they had their photographer nearby. Not wanting to be in the way of their capturing their special day we headed down the road a little to another jetty.
Daughter came back from her run to say they had already left before sunset, just as the sun dipped behind some cloud, so we jumped in the car and dashed back along as I had wanted to use this little offshoot to see what effect I could get looking back along under the jetty at the pylons.
There was some smoke haze along the horizon and the water was completely still- not a wisp of flow.
As we walked back along the jetty a big 1.5 m stingray glided silently by in about a foot of water.
We are loving being back in Australia and surrounded by the wildlife/ birdlife/sealife !!
Eldest son is back from camp.....more than a little tired after 30 km hike followed by 20 km canoeing. We are all happy to have him safely home.
