Hanging in there...
Left for work this morning in a minor blizzard and had fully planned another blip of the white stuff at lunchtime. But, the sun came out and it was almost all gone by the time I headed back out on the road.
One of the few perks (when the weather's this nice) of making a mad dash from one place of work to another over lunch is being able to make a quick stop to munch on a Gregg's sandwich and take in the views across the Forth Valley. I've been trying to vary the straight run from A to B by heading off on some of the minor roads that criss-cross the route, and today it was a detour around the back roads near Skinflats. Described as one of the ugliest names of any Scottish village doesn't help draw in the Urquhart Tour buses, but it does have a great view across to the Ochil Hills and out west to the mountains.
And this was as much snow as remained by this time, tiny pockets tucked away in the cold shadows of the dirt track.
